The conveyor that IS part of the process — a stainless steel SS 304 wire mesh belt with up to 86% open area lets air, water, oil, or thermal energy pass directly through the belt while the product travels. The right choice for washing, cooling, drying, frying, baking, freezing, and heat treatment — where a solid belt would block exactly the interaction you need. Three mesh weaves to match product size and process: Balanced Weave, Flat-Flex, and Compound.
Six things that set a SANAM-built wire mesh belt conveyor apart from a generic imported solution — every one of them a decision we make at the engineering desk before fabrication begins.
The defining feature — open mesh area of 30-86% (by weave choice) lets air, water, oil, and thermal energy pass directly through the belt. Cooling happens from both sides of the product, washing rinses cleanly, oil drains back to the fryer. The belt is part of the process, not just transport.
Full SS 304 construction — mesh belt in food-grade stainless wire, supporting frame, drums, and bearings all in matching stainless. Corrosion-resistant under continuous water exposure, food-contact safe, durable for daily washdown with hot water, foam cleaners, and chemical sanitizers. SS 316 for higher-corrosion.
SS 304 mesh handles continuous service around 800°C and intermittent peaks higher — fine for fryers (180°C oil), industrial ovens (220-300°C), and most heat-treatment cycles. For sustained above 800°C (annealing, sintering, ceramic firing 1000°C+), we upgrade to SS 310 or nickel-alloy wire.
Washing, cooling, drying, baking, frying, freezing, heat treatment — the same wire mesh handles all of them, with enclosure, drive speed, and supporting equipment configured per process. One trusted SANAM supplier across your processing line, not seven different belt vendors for seven different process stages.
Wire diameter (1.2-3mm standard, finer or coarser available), mesh opening size, belt width (200-3000mm range), and length all sized to your product and throughput. Mesh opening set so smallest product cannot fall through but airflow stays open. Nothing off-the-shelf — every belt sized in engineering.
Every wire mesh conveyor is fully assembled and run-tested at 10th of Ramadan before shipping — frame alignment verified, belt tracking confirmed across full belt width, drive function checked at variable speed, tension set to spec. Site installation becomes connection and commissioning, not building from a kit.
The mesh weave is the most important engineering choice — it sets the open area (airflow), the load capacity, and the smallest product the belt can carry without dropping through. Same SS 304 wire, three weave configurations engineered for different jobs.
Alternating left and right spirals connected with crimped cross rods — the all-purpose food and industrial choice. Straight tracking, strong yet flexible, balanced load distribution across the full belt width. Open area around 40-55%. Best for general food conveying, freezer tunnels, bakery ovens, and heat-treatment lines where versatility matters more than maximum airflow.
Request Technical Data Sheet →Formed flat strips of stainless steel connected by cross rods — the highest open area in the lineup, up to 86%. Maximum airflow, fastest drainage, fastest cooling. Best for continuous fryers (oil drains back fast), cooling tunnels (air contacts product from all sides), washing lines, and any application where the open area is the engineering bottleneck. Smooth surface keeps small products from getting hooked.
Request Technical Data Sheet →Double spirals with connecting cross rods — the tightest mesh in the lineup, with the smallest openings. Open area is lower (around 30-40%) in exchange for the ability to carry very small or fragile products. Best for crackers, biscuits, small confectionery, fine particles, heat-treated small parts, and any application where balanced weave openings would let product fall through. Also handles heavier loads thanks to denser construction.

Six industries where the wire mesh conveyor is the right answer — anywhere the product needs direct contact with air, water, oil, or thermal energy as it travels, and a solid belt would get in the way.
Biscuits, crackers, cookies, breadsticks, and tortilla travel through baking ovens on wire mesh handling 200-300°C, then onto cooling-tunnel belts. Compound weave for small biscuits, balanced for larger.
Wire mesh handles brutal cold airflow inside IQF tunnels (-30 to -40°C) without becoming brittle or losing tracking. Open mesh lets cold air contact every surface of vegetables, fruits, and seafood.
Continuous fryers for chicken nuggets and patties, washing for fresh cuts, freezing tunnels for IQF chicken, drying for cured meats. SS 304 (SS 316 for high-salt brines) handles daily washdown without corrosion.
French fries, chips, falafel, fried snacks, donuts, breaded products — fried on continuous wire mesh submerging product in 180°C oil. Flat-Flex weave gives maximum open area for oil drainage as product exits.
Sintering, annealing, brazing, curing, and ceramic firing in industrial ovens up to 1000°C+. Plastic melts, rubber chars — only stainless or nickel-alloy wire mesh survives. SS 310 or nickel alloys.
Pharmaceutical drying tunnels, granule cooling, capsule transport, and cleanroom-grade conveying. SS 316 standard for pharma to handle aggressive cleaning protocols; open mesh allows full clean-in-place coverage.
Anyone can sell you a conveyor. The question is who picks up the phone six months later when a chain segment fails on a Sunday night.
The conveyor is designed, fabricated, and assembled in our 10th of Ramadan facility — by the same team that installs and supports it. No middleman, no resold equipment, no relabeled imports.
We design around your factory floor, your existing fillers and packers, and your container specs. We don't sell standard parts hoping they fit — we design for your line.
Spares are typically available within 48 hours from our Egyptian inventory — no import waits, no customs delays, no production downtime while you wait for a chain segment from Europe.
We don't just supply a conveyor. We connect it to your existing line — matching speed, height, and transfer geometry to your fillers, cappers, labelers, and packers. The line becomes one system, not a stack of disconnected machines.
The questions our engineering team hears most often when a factory owner is sizing up a new conveyor for an existing or new line.
A SANAM engineer can scope your line, walk you through the choices, and give a budgetary figure on the same call.
