The conveyor that catches what shouldn't ship — a checkweigher conveyor that weighs every package in motion as it passes over the scale section, then automatically rejects any unit that falls outside your target weight range. PLC touch screen for entering target values and tolerances. Automated reject unit — pusher, air blast, flipper, or retracting conveyor — diverts non-conforming items without stopping the line. Available in belt-scale for small packaged products and roller-scale for boxes and cartons. Stainless steel hygienic construction for food, pharma, beverage, and FMCG lines.
Six things that set a SANAM-built checkweigher conveyor apart from a generic imported solution — every one of them a decision we make at the engineering desk before fabrication begins.
The defining feature — every package gets weighed as it passes over the scale section, not a sample, not a periodic check. The load cell reads weight in motion, the PLC compares against your target, and accept or reject happens automatically within milliseconds. No operator intervention, no production stoppage.
The reject unit attached to the conveyor diverts over- or under-weight packages off the line without stopping production. SANAM supports four reject mechanisms — pusher arm, air-jet blower, drop-flap, and diverter belt — chosen by package weight, shape, line speed, and rejection rate expected.
The standard specification includes a PLC touch screen for entering target values and changing them at will. Operators enter target weight, upper and lower tolerance bands, reject delay timing, and live changeover settings. No engineer required for routine product or specification changes.
Two configurations matched to your product. Belt-scale uses a smooth continuous belt over the load cell — best for small, light packaged products: sachets, pouches, jars, bottles, small cartons. Roller-scale uses powered rollers above the load cell — best for cartons, totes, and heavier packages.
SS 304 is standard for food, beverage, and FMCG washdown environments, with SS 316 available for pharma, dairy, and aggressive chemical processes. Smooth weld finishing, easy-clean geometry, and IP65-rated electricals make every checkweigher washdown-ready from day one.
SANAM does not deliver a checkweigher as a standalone box. We engineer the upstream interface — transfer geometry, belt speed match, height alignment — with your filler or packer, and the downstream interface with sorting, palletizing, or QC stations. One integrated weighing station.
Both configurations use the same load cell technology and PLC platform. The difference is the conveying surface over the scale — belt for small packaged products, roller for boxes and cartons. Pick based on the product, not the budget.
A continuous smooth belt runs over the load cell section. Best for small, light, packaged products — sachets, pouches, jars, bottles, small cartons — where a flat belt surface gives the best contact and stability for accurate weighing in motion. Common in food packaging, pharmaceutical pouching, cosmetics, and FMCG end-of-line operations. Belt width and length are sized to your product, with stainless steel construction standard for washdown environments.
Request Technical Data Sheet →Powered rollers run above the load cell section. Best for boxes, cartons, cases, and heavier units (typically 5-60 kg) that need a roller surface to travel evenly under load without dragging on a belt. Common in case-end-of-line operations, parcel verification at distribution centers, fulfillment shipping verification, and baggage handling at airports and transport terminals. Roller pitch and load cell capacity are sized to your typical package weight and dimensions.
Request Technical Data Sheet →Six industries where package weight verification is a quality, regulatory, or pricing requirement — and where a checkweigher catches what manual sampling would miss.
Food packaging lines verify every pouch, sachet, bottle, jar, or carton against declared net weight at end of line. Required for regulatory compliance. SS 304 standard; IP65 for washdown.
Pharma plants weigh every blister, bottle, vial, and box — dose accuracy is a patient-safety and regulatory must. SS 316 hygienic construction; validation-ready data logging.
Fill-weight verification on bottles and cans from high-speed fillers — under-fill rejected, over-fill flagged for filler calibration. Belt or roller scale matched to package profile.
Household products, cleaners, shampoos, cosmetics — every bottle, jar, or carton verified for declared net weight. Retail customers require certified weight compliance.
Parcel verification at distribution centers, e-commerce fulfillment, and 3PL warehouses — every outbound shipment weighed to match manifest. Catches mispicks and label fraud.
Airport baggage check-in, train luggage, and bus terminal operations needing in-motion weight verification of suitcases before loading. Heavy-duty rollers for repeated impact.
Anyone can sell you a conveyor. The question is who picks up the phone six months later when a chain segment fails on a Sunday night.
The conveyor is designed, fabricated, and assembled in our 10th of Ramadan facility — by the same team that installs and supports it. No middleman, no resold equipment, no relabeled imports.
We design around your factory floor, your existing fillers and packers, and your container specs. We don't sell standard parts hoping they fit — we design for your line.
Spares are typically available within 48 hours from our Egyptian inventory — no import waits, no customs delays, no production downtime while you wait for a chain segment from Europe.
We don't just supply a conveyor. We connect it to your existing line — matching speed, height, and transfer geometry to your fillers, cappers, labelers, and packers. The line becomes one system, not a stack of disconnected machines.
The questions our engineering team hears most often when a factory owner is sizing up a new conveyor for an existing or new line.
A SANAM engineer can scope your line, walk you through the choices, and give a budgetary figure on the same call.
