The conveyor that takes your line vertical — a vertical conveyor that elevates or lowers boxes, cartons, cases, totes, and pallets between different levels of your production or storage system, synchronized with your horizontal conveyor lines. Available in continuous (CVC) for high-throughput packaging operations and reciprocating (RVC) for heavier pallet and unit loads. Steel or stainless steel construction. The right alternative when floor space is tight and you need elevation change without dedicating an entire ramp run to it.
Six things that set a SANAM-built vertical conveyor apart from a generic imported solution — every one of them a decision we make at the engineering desk before fabrication begins.
Lifts product up and lowers it down using the same equipment — bidirectional is standard, not an option. Reciprocating cycles a platform up and down by nature; continuous can be configured for either direction. One conveyor, one control system, both directions.
A sloped conveyor needs horizontal floor several times the elevation change — a 4m rise on a 10° slope eats 23m of floor. A vertical conveyor lifts the same load in a footprint the size of the load itself. For multi-floor plants and mezzanine packaging, this is the only option that doesn't require redesigning the building.
The defining catalog hook — it works as a cell inside your line, not a standalone lift. Accepts product from a horizontal infeed on one side, discharges to a horizontal outfeed at the target elevation. C-flow keeps infeed and outfeed on the same side; Z-flow puts them on opposite sides. PLC matches carrier timing to your line speed.
Built for unit loads — packaged products with defined dimensions and weight, not bulk material (that's the bucket elevator). Cartons, totes, cases, kegs, drums, trays, and pallets up to several thousand kilograms. Same family handles light cartons or heavy pallets — only the specs change.
Steel powder-coated frame for general industrial use — logistics, warehousing, packaging. SS 304 for food and beverage washdown lines. SS 316 for aggressive cleaning chemistries and pharma. Carrier, frame, and any product-contact surface can each be specified independently.
Every unit is sized to the specific load — carton dimensions, weight, throughput, elevation change, and upstream and downstream conveyor interfaces. Send us your load spec and the conveyor lines you need to connect — we engineer one that drops into your line and synchronizes from day one.
The right configuration depends on throughput and load weight. Continuous (CVC) gives you the highest throughput for light to medium unit loads in a non-stop loop. Reciprocating (RVC) gives you heavy load capacity and cost efficiency with a platform that cycles up and down between elevations. Pick based on what your line actually needs to move.
A series of carriers travels continuously in a non-stop loop between two vertical chains or belts. Product enters horizontally from an infeed conveyor at the lower elevation, rides one carrier up to the discharge point, and exits horizontally onto the outfeed conveyor at the target elevation — the next carrier picks up the next product without ever stopping. Best for high-throughput packaging and distribution operations moving boxes, cartons, cases, totes, and lighter unit loads (typically up to 100 kg per carrier). C-flow layout has infeed and outfeed on the same side; Z-flow has them on opposite sides. Throughput from a few hundred to several thousand units per hour, depending on speed and carrier spacing.
Request Technical Data Sheet →A single lifting platform cycles up and down between elevations — product loads onto the platform at one level, the platform lifts (or lowers) to the target level, product unloads, and the platform returns for the next cycle. Lower throughput than continuous but handles much heavier loads: single or multiple pallets, drums, large machinery, oversized cartons, and unit loads in the 500 kg to 4,000 kg range, with heavy-duty configurations rated higher. Simpler mechanism than continuous, lower equipment cost, and more flexible for multi-level applications where the platform stops at three or more elevations. Ideal where load weight matters more than peak throughput — pallet handling, drum movement, heavy carton transfers.
Request Technical Data Sheet →Six industries where production or storage operations cross elevations daily — and where the vertical conveyor replaces the floor-space cost of ramps, the labor cost of forklifts, and the safety risk of manual carry, with an automated cell synchronized to the rest of the line.
Packaged cartons and trays moving from production floors up to mezzanine packaging or down to outbound docks. SS 304 carriers and IP65 motors for washdown lines.
Multi-floor distribution operations moving cartons up to pick lanes and pallets down to outbound docks. Reciprocating for the pallets, continuous for the carton flow.
Carton converters moving stacks from production presses up to inspection or storage, and finished pallets down to shipping. Continuous for the stacks, reciprocating for the pallets.
Bottling-line cases coming off the packer, lifted to mezzanine storage or dropped to ground-floor docks. Built for thousands per hour. SS 304 for washdown.
FMCG plants with production on one floor and packaging or warehousing on another — cartons flow between zones on continuous, palletized loads on reciprocating.
Multi-level assembly — automotive, appliance, electronics — moving components up to assembly floors and finished units down to final pack. Synchronized to the horizontal line.
Anyone can sell you a conveyor. The question is who picks up the phone six months later when a chain segment fails on a Sunday night.
The conveyor is designed, fabricated, and assembled in our 10th of Ramadan facility — by the same team that installs and supports it. No middleman, no resold equipment, no relabeled imports.
We design around your factory floor, your existing fillers and packers, and your container specs. We don't sell standard parts hoping they fit — we design for your line.
Spares are typically available within 48 hours from our Egyptian inventory — no import waits, no customs delays, no production downtime while you wait for a chain segment from Europe.
We don't just supply a conveyor. We connect it to your existing line — matching speed, height, and transfer geometry to your fillers, cappers, labelers, and packers. The line becomes one system, not a stack of disconnected machines.
The questions our engineering team hears most often when a factory owner is sizing up a new conveyor for an existing or new line.
A SANAM engineer can scope your line, walk you through the choices, and give a budgetary figure on the same call.
